VPN not supported?

Hi everyone,

Sorry for writing in English but I don't speak German.

I have recently signed up for a KDG Internet & Telefon 100, and I am using the Hitron modem.

Internet works fine, but I've just realised that VPN connection to my office does not work, which is really frustrating. I called KBG and they said that if my VPN is not working it means it is not supported.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get around this problem and to actually get a VPN connection to work?

There are many different ways to establish a VPN connection, and it is often difficult to troubleshoot remotely. You should try to get support from the IT department at your office, they ought to know best what to do.

I don't have any problems with my Homebox2 (Fritzbox 6360) and Cisco Anyconnect, don't know if the Hitron makes any difference.

You can try to run that Hitron as a 'Bridge'. You can do that after login to the Customer Area at the KBG Webside: http://www.kdgforum.de/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=25540

Please be aware that your PC/Laptop is now DIRECTLY connected to the internet. You should either make sure your antivirus and software firewall is up to it or buy a configurable router.

Thanks, I made sure the firewall and antivirus are on, and need to get a router soon.
