I need to finalize the contract Red Internet & Phone 200 Cable
I need WLAN
So that I must choose between
WLAN-Kabelrouter: Kabelrouter und WLAN-Router in einem Gerät
HomeBox FRITZ!Box 6490: Modem, WLAN-Router, Server und Telefonanlage in einem Gerät
If I choose WLAN-Kabelrouter then can I immediatly surf in Internet or I need some other box?
I make this question because of with FRITZ!Box it is written also Modem and this confuse me
What do you suggest me?
If I choose WLAN Kabelrouter and for example I am not satisfied with WiFi (PC is in another room) can I ask to have FRITZ!Box ?
WLAN-Kabelrouter oder FRITZ ?

Re: WLAN-Kabelrouter oder FRITZ ?
The FritzBox is a much better version of the standard WLAN cable router, combining the modem, router, WLAN access point together with a better telephony support (e.g. 2 analogue lines, ISDN support, DECT support) and a USB media server.
In General: There are no "simple" modems available at the moment, all devices that VFKDG is giving to their customers are combined devices with integrated modem, router and WLAN access point [whereas the WLAN access point can be disabled by VFKDG in the standard routers if the WLAN option (+2 € per month) is NOT enabled].

Re: WLAN-Kabelrouter oder FRITZ ?
My understanding is, please correct me if wrong, if I choose WLAN-Kabelrouter I can surf immediatly in Internet and also I get WiFi if I pay this 2€/month (I think that I shall not have to do if I subscribe now the contract)reneromann hat geschrieben:The FritzBox is a much better version of the standard WLAN cable router, combining the modem, router, WLAN access point together with a better telephony support (e.g. 2 analogue lines, ISDN support, DECT support) and a USB media server.

I am not interested in analogue telephone line/ISDN/DECT

In this contract (Red Internet hone 200) you have not to pay 2 euros more for WLAN.medicol hat geschrieben: also I get WiFi if I pay this 2€/month (I think that I shall not have to do if I subscribe now the contract)
